Dr Jeremy de Leon

Radiation Oncologist
BSc (Bioinformatics), M.B.B.S (Honours), FRANZCR

Dr Jeremy de Leon is a radiation oncologist with a unique dual background in science and medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics and graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2006. He completed his specialist training in radiation oncology across Liverpool, Campbelltown, and Canberra Hospitals, followed by a clinical fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital.

Jeremy commenced his consultant career at the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Cancer Therapy Centres before joining GenesisCare, Darlinghurst—based at the St Vincent’s Hospital campus—as Head of the MR-Linac Program and also now serves as the Clinical Site Director of the centre.

His clinical interests include upper and lower gastrointestinal, urogenital, and lung cancers, with a particular focus on stereotactic radiotherapy. He is Australia's most experienced clinician using MR-Linac technology and has applied it to treat a diverse range of tumour types.

An active researcher and clinical trial investigator, Jeremy has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at national and international conferences, sharing insights into adaptive radiotherapy and MR-Linac applications.

He is also engaged in advancing the field through leadership roles in professional organisations. He serves on the TROG Adaptive Radiotherapy Subcommittee, the Radiation Oncology Alliance Working Group on Adaptive Radiation Therapy, and is an executive member of the NSW Cancer Institute Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry and the RANZCR Faculty of Radiation Oncology's Genito-Urinary and Lung Interest Groups.

Outside of medicine, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, often around a shared love of food.
