Dr Julia Low
Dr. Julia Low is an Anatomical Pathologist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, where she reports on a wide range of complex cases in surgical histopathology and cytopathology. Her key areas of expertise include medical renal pathology, urology, neuropathology, and endocrine pathology, utilising advanced diagnostic techniques such as immunofluorescence and electron microscopy.
A dedicated educator and collaborator, Dr. Low is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and an accredited supervisor for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA). In 2023, she founded the 'Renal Pathology Club,' an initiative connecting specialists across Australia and New Zealand. She is also an active researcher, serving as a visiting collaborator with the Hormones and Cancer group at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
Dr. Low's career includes previous appointments as an Anatomical Pathologist at Liverpool Hospital and as a Paediatric & Perinatal Anatomical Pathologist at Sydney Children’s Hospital. Her academic background is uniquely diverse, holding a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (with Distinction), a Master of International Public Health, and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honors). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and has contributed extensively to the field through numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
